Acadia is where granite mountains meet the open Atlantic, a rugged stretch of Maine coast carved by ancient glaciers into rocky headlands, spruce-fir forests, and cold tidal pools. Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak on the U.S. Atlantic seaboard, is among the first places in the country to catch the sunrise. The land is the ancestral homeland of the Wabanaki people, who have lived along this coast for roughly 12,000 years. Largely pieced together from donated private land, Acadia is a rare gift to everyone. But the Gulf of Maine is warming faster than almost any ocean water on Earth, putting its forests, tide pools, and seabirds under mounting strain. Protecting Acadia means safeguarding the wild coastline, clean waters, and fragile balance that make this corner of Maine unlike anywhere else.

In 2022, Aubrey had plans for a trip to Acadia with one of her best friends. But experienced a series of emotionally devastating events that sent her life spiraling in another direction. The pairing of Acadia and Blueberry Lavender isn't a celebration of a place she's been, it's a beacon of light reminding her of a place she wants to go.
