How It Started

It was a Saturday morning at a local farmers market. I'd just moved across the country with my five kids after my divorce. New state. New start. I was looking around at all the people and the vendors and feeling this pull — this sense of community and connection — and wanting a piece of that in my own life.

I said out loud how much I loved farmers markets. My oldest daughter turned to me and said, "You should sell your granola here."

I'd been making granola for 15 years. For my family. For friends. For teachers at Christmas. That suggestion sparked something. I decided I'd be at that market the following summer — not to start a business, but to be a part of the community.

Customers showed up week after week. They couldn't find granola without tons of sugar that actually tasted good and fueled their day. They loved shopping small, being outside, and knowing exactly what was in their food.

When the market season ended, people asked where they could get the granola. I hadn't planned to keep going past that summer. But the community had other plans.

That's when Granola Girl became more than a market booth. Not because of a business plan. Because the people showed up.

From my wild, messy, beautiful journey to yours...

Our Granola

Real, whole ingredients to fuel your adventures. No seed oils. No refined sugar. Gluten-free oats.

Every batch is handmade. Each flavor has intentional ingredient choices. Only satisfied by great taste.

We keep it simple: pure organic maple syrup for sweetness, coconut oil and butter for fats, and dried fruits and real chocolate for flavor.

And for special occasions? You might find sprinkles.

Giving Back

Transparently, we currently don't make enough profit for any rational business owner to carve out money to donate.

Still, we are excited to give what we can.

We've partnered with 1% for the Planet to begin that journey. Because we only have one home and we want to give back as much as Earth has given us.

We have aspirations of giving back more, including to the National Park Foundation - the inspiration for our tubes. And to help women and girls spend more time outdoors, safely.

The Adventure Has Just Begun

Small-batch, handcrafted granola with whole ingredients. That part won't change.

What will change is how we source them. We're building stronger relationships directly with farmers and suppliers to create a more sustainable process from the ground up.

We're not perfect yet. But we're building something that gives our customers the best ingredients for an affordable price while also being intentional about our impact on the Earth.
